Ileana Claffey, E-RYT
Ileana was searching for a natural path to wellness, when she experienced a glimpse of stillness during her first yoga class, twenty years ago. Her practice, coupled with her desire to deepen her knowledge inspired her to complete the 200-hour training in Hatha Yoga at The Deerfield Yoga Center in 2007. She is an experience registered yoga teacher (E-RYT) and a Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance; Reiki Practitioner and certified thru the American Heart Association Heartsaver AED Program.
Ileana creates and facilitates health and wellness programs at Corporations, country clubs, libraries, yoga studios and teaches privately to all ages, abilities and experience. Yoga Instructor for FAU and NIH grant studies on Chair Yoga for Elders with Osteoarthritis. Translated into Spanish the SITNFIT Chair Yoga book and program. Partner with Connected Warriors to create and lead instructional video series for veterans and serve as an instructor for their local events.. She specializes in Hatha, Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Chair Yoga and Stress Reduction.
Her goal is to create a compassionate, heart centered class, where each student can reach beyond their perceived limitations. She brings a unique awareness of body alignment and movement, with clear instructions and humor. Always reminding you to stay present and breathe…
Her yoga practice continues to evolve through self study, classes and workshops with an array of incredibly inspiring teachers which have all helped to influence her unique style of teaching .
Ileana resides in Coral Springs, Florida with her husband.
